ABOUT

Capturing big swirling feelings as flowers

is a way for me to be gentle with myself.

I started drawing flower grids years ago

as an exploration of how I compartmentalize

challenging thoughts and experiences.

Thousands of flowers later...

I share this journey with you,

and invite you to share your journey

with someone you hold dear.

It seems to me,

that we all have boxes we keep shut and buried

and we all have the capacity to tend to seeds and blossoms.

If each day we tend to ourselves,

in some small way, we will soon have a garden.

My intention for The Box Collectors Society

is to bring people together

to be creative in shared spaces.

With this said...

I lay a blanket down now,

in this field of pixels and particles

and invite you. Come.

Sit, eat, talk,

laugh, cry, touch.

Indulge your imagination.

Your lungs are singing an opera just for you,

your hands are waiting to shape the clay,

your skin is longing for the wind’s caress

and the brushing of strangers’ elbows.

Perhaps we've never been strangers,

we've just been looking for each other.
